【Announcement】Course Credit Waiver for International Graduate New Students Academic Year in 2020

  1.International students who can enter Taiwan: 
  • Complete online application at the Academic Affairs Information System and click SEND.
  • Submit a hard copy of the documents required to complete the application.
  • Should the above 2 steps not be completed within the given timeframe, the application will be deemed unsuccessful and will not be accepted.

Apply at the Academic Affairs Information System

  • Date: 9:00 AM, August 27, 2020 - 5:00 PM, August 31, 2020. Late application will not be accepted.
  • Log in at https://newacademic.tmu.edu.tw/
    Steps: Choose Course Credit Waiver → Apply for Course Credit Waiver

Submitting hard copy of documents

  • Due date: 6:00 PM, August 31, 2020
    Note: Send or deliver in person to the Registration Section, Office of Academic Affairs the original copy of transcript for all semesters from the school where the student graduated or dropped out.
  • Should there be late submission as a result of delayed entry into Taiwan or quarantine measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the required documents must be sent or delivered in person to the Registration Section, Office of Academic Affairs no later than 5:00 PM, October 13, 2020. Should there be submissions after the deadline or the transcript as well as any information submitted be found to be false, the eligibility of the course for credit waiver will be revoked.

Please confirm at the Academic Affairs Information System after September 23, 2020.

2. International students who are unable to enter Taiwan due to the COVID-19 pandemic:

Students may apply after entering Taiwan; dates for applications will be announced in January 2021.

Notes
1.Only applicable to credits received from courses completed before admission to TMU.
2.Application for course credit waiver must be completed in the academic year of enrollment. Late application will not be accepted.
3.For students who wish to apply for suspension from school, application for course credit waiver must be completed before the start
   of suspension and will not be accepted after the students return to school.

4.Courses taken after enrollment, including those where students have received grades or dropped out, are not eligible for course
   credit waiver.

5.Students who fail to complete applications in accordance with relevant preceding regulations, thus affecting their rights, shall
   be held liable for the consequences that such actions may cause.
